BEST COLOMBIAN SECRET IN JP! I've been coming here for years and can't believe i haven't reviewed this place. Breakfast, lunch, brunch recommend FOOD: Hamburger: best burger I've had in a long time: imagine a juicy burger, thick-cut bacon, saucy & messy, Cole slaw, cheddar cheesy, and filling Chicken bowl SLAPPED esp with the sauce Bendeja paisa is only for those courageous with a HUGE appetite. Meaty and very filling Hot dogs: for some reason Potatoes: perfect and soft esp delicious with the sauce! Breakfast items are all recommended if you like it with a Spanish twist SERVICE: IMPECCABLE The wait staff here will rock your socks off

Ordered: 4/28/25 Lunch and ate inside Beet Salad 10.99- Good. I added Chicken. Grilled Chicken 4.99 VERDICT: Good. Get a Balsamic or dijon dressing. Rice & Beans 4.99 Words I never thought I would say, but how do you mess up rice and beans? BY GIVING SOMEONE HARD OLD COLD RICE AND OLD BEANS. I am not joking. I immediately had to call over the wait staff. I am told the person messed it up, and they were out of rice. HARD SIDE EYE. This establishment where rice comes with half of the dishes? She asks if I want to order a replacement dish. I say no. Then not long after she comes back with rice. I know they re-steamed some of the same old rice because it was still a little tough, but edible, so I let it go. At least this I could chew and not feel like I am breaking my teeth, was warm and tasted 100% better. I also know because I was near the kitchen and heard someone in the kitchen literally say, " Oh no, I didn't make any new rice. I just added some water and heated it up a bit it is fine. I get trying to protect your profit margins, but at least make sure the rice is warm and not hard! VERDICT: SKIP. DO NOT DO IT- Unless you ask if the rice was made fresh. 4 Single Egg 7.96 VERDICT: EAT THIS- my sunnyside eggs were made perfectly, and delicious. HOT 12oz Chai Tea Latte 4.25 While tasty, it wasn't warm enough. Like it was just warm. VERDICT: SKIP Yuquita Frita 4.99 Delicious! I grew up eating this stuff, so it was a bit of nostalgia. VERDICT: EAT THIS! ICED 16oz Aguapanela 3.49 Ask for extra lime if you get it cold like I did. Refreshing, but not super sweet. VERDICT: DRINK THIS Green Hulk 6.99 Why hurt people this way? It was mainly orange juice and spinach, which is a weird combo to drink down, which I did. The orange and slight bitter from the spinach, was an off-putting combo. It was rough. Maybe needed more banana and something else added. VERDICT: DO NOT DRINK! SKIP! Sweet Plantains 4.99 Yummy and tasted normal and nice and sweet. VERDICT: EAT THIS Lovely vibe. Wheelchair accessible nice long booths and tables. Bathroom door a little narrow from what I saw so just be mindful. Loved the chalkboard words of encouragement. The island music playing softly in the background, and the televisions were muted with closed captions on, which I appreciated. They do serve alcohol, but I didn't get anything like that to drink. Only one person as waitstaff working the floor, but she moved pretty quickly. I also liked how you could pay your bill from your phone WITHOUT DOWNLOADING AN APP! Amazing! I wish more places did this! Overall VERDICT: A bit of a confusing bummer. I heard so many good things about this place and the food excluding the Yuca, eggs, and plantain- mainly left in their natural states, otherwise was just okay or bad. The portions were also a bit small as well. I am not a local, and it is clearly a local spot because many people came in and yelled back a hello to the kitchen staff or waitstaff by name. Just because I am not local does not mean I am unworthy of decent food. Like I got what they were trying to still get rid of from Saturday night from the items that were not good. Maybe their breakfast and dinner folks will fare better than I did for lunch, but it was too much money to spend to leave so dissatisfied. I also had to speak to some of the inappropriate talk from one of the staff in the kitchen. Dude you don't get to blame and make fun or rape victims! Not okay. I am so confused as to why this was my experience after all the good reviews. It was my meal for the day, so I ate my food. I left full, just not happy.

omg this restaurant, the servers & the chefs are all across the board… amazing! we came during the lunch rush today & i was so impressed by the way the servers HUSTLED! they never stopped moving, smiling, interacting, and working. my 1 year old daughter was transfixed by the amazing servers as well. they work so hard to provide amazing food and also interacted with our 2 childrenseveral times in a positive, warm way! it was the best restaurant experience out with our children we have ever had as of yet! they were VERY accommodating. we have been twice in 1 year but both times have been exceptional. you may have to wait a few min to put your name in but i don’t mind waiting and i would never find a problem with waiting. i don’t believe they have a host/hostess (which IMO is NOT necessary) they servers do just fine & that is just how it goes!)i noticed some potential customers in the very short line lack patience so maybe if you are not patient i would work on managing your expectations because i think you would be surprised because the food & service is totally worth it. also they have a very clean restroom with a changing table! def clutch! thanks to the entire team & operation for providing us an amazing EXPERIENCE!!

Only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because the menu is hit or miss. The Columbian food (ie. the Calentádo and the Bandeja Paisa) is consistently fantastic. However, the more traditional American items (ie. steak & cheese sub, mac & cheese, and burger) are inexplicably horrible. It’s a big menu and it feels like some of the items don’t need to be on it if they can’t make them well. The atmosphere and service is always great. I’ll be back regularly, but I’ll stick to the menu items that I know are delicious. The Bloody Mary is also very tasty.

It was a pleasant experience and very cozy. I thoroughly enjoyed the people I was with so I’m possibly being generous. The food was good and the servings matched the pricing. The service was okay, somewhat delayed at times and language did seem to be a barrier. If you speak Spanish, your experience may be different. The drinks are okay and the menus were kind of sticky (needed a cleaning). Thanks.
